SOME FACTS ABOUT

(1917 - 2003)

"Dad Hagin" to all of us who loved him, learned from him and followed him even as he followed Christ.

Dad Hagin was not a poor man, because the Lord had Blessed him. Many people who were blessed by his ministry blessed him financially, totally of their own choosing. Dad Hagin however chose not to live an ostentatious lifestyle of excess. It is important to note certain things about him:

1. He gave very generously. Nobody knew of this because he never spoke about it. I found out after he had gone Home to be with Jesus that he secretly and very generously used to support retired ministers in need on a monthly basis, out of what God had Blessed him with. I was personally present when he at one time gave away an aeroplane, a Cadillac and a Rolex watch that people had blessed him with. A large chunk of his personal money went to support the Bible School.

2. He never preached manipulative sermons telling people that he had a 100-fold anointing or that they would become rich if they would "sow" their money into his pockets.

3. He never flaunted what he owned, neither was money ever a major part of his message.

4. None of the famous prosperity-preachers of today ever attended Dad Hagin's RHEMA Bible Training College. They all received some inspiration in the beginning by listening to his teachings, but that was the extent to which they were influenced by him. The errors and money-centered message that they have taught and preached since then is entirely of their own making and has nothing to do with Dad Hagin' teachings.

5. Before He went on to be with the Lord Dad Hagin called together 40 of the main prosperity-preachers to RHEMA and spoke to them in depth to correct their errors. It did not seem to have much of an effect on them.

6. I was personally close to him for many years. What I saw was a man of great love, faith, and humility who flowed in a mighty Anointing from God. I also never heard him teach anything that was not in line with the Word of God. I never saw him say anything to defend himself from those who attacked him, choosing rather to let God defend him instead.

7. John Wimber the Founder of Vineyard Churches said, "in the past Century no other Christian author's books have been read by as many people all over the world, as Kenneth Hagin's books".
