End Special Anti-Robbery Squad or #EndSARS

 

is a social movement in Nigeria that started on Twitter calling for banning of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, a unit of the Nigerian Police Force. It is a call to end police oppression and brutality in Nigeria.

SARS refers to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, a controversial Nigerian police unit that has been the target of nationwide protests demanding an end to police brutality.

The protests #EndSARS started last week Thursday.

"So far, Nigerian Police have killed at least 10 people since the start of protests against callous operations of SARS," according to Amnesty International.
