WINNING PRAYER

John 16:23;

_"And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, WHATEVER YE SHALL ASK THE FATHER IN MY NAME, HE WILL GIVE IT YOU."

Key Message: Prayer becomes an effortless mission and a sweet adventure when we are assured of His presence.

There is nothing that makes prayer easy and interesting like having the assurance that you are being heard anytime you call. The difference between those who win in prayer and those who don't is the lack of understanding of God's eagerness to hear us even before we call. 

Isaiah 65:24, says,  "And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear."

Every child of God should be able to approach God on the altar of prayer and boldly declared like Jesus _Father, I thank thee that thou hast heard me. And I knew that thou hearest me always Jn.11:41-42.

The secret to winning prayer lies in our pursuit. I mean the deepest desire of our heart. James expounded in his epistle. "Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not. Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts."_James 4:2-3.

Those who pursue things above God will have something at the detriment of their souls. And those who pursue after God will end up having God and things others exchange their life to get. Matt.6:33

To win on the altar of prayer we must set our priorities on the kingdom and maintain a pure heart. That is, sin free consciousness. God forbids the prayer of sinners. Pro.15:8

Praying for ourselves only entitles us to answers. Jer.33:3 And some of these answers only materialises when we meet its demands. Whereas, praying for the kingdom entitles us to rewards which brings us into favour with God. Mat.6:6/ Gal.6:7-8.

Those who secure God's attention twenty-four seven are those who cry after the kingdom. They are the type who God hears before they ask. I pray God will position you to the categories of these men who win in prayer in Jesus name.

ASSIGNMENT

Make it a priority to pray kingdom advancement prayer everyday. That is, praying for others according to 1Tim.2:1-4

PRAYER

Father, open my spiritual understanding and increase my love for you that I may set my priority alright.

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

You shall be the head and not the tail. The Lord will increase your greatness and comfort you on every side this year. You shall no longer be frustrated on the prayer altar again. Every concern of your heart shall be turn into testimonies this year as you keep serving Him and interest of His kingdom.
