THE COMMANDER OF FIRE.

2 Kings 1:10;

"And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. AND THERE CAME DOWN FIRE FROM HEAVEN, AND CONSUMED HIM AND HIS FIFTY."

Key Message: The level of spiritual authority you have attained is what determine the capacity of fire you can release.

Elijah was an usual man of God with an exceptional prophetic grace to command fire from heaven to the earth. One vital revelation from the life of Elijah we must take cognizance of was his ability to advance in spiritual authority by maintaining a consistent walk with God.

He began by praying for fire to consume the sacrifice and then upgraded to the level of commanding the fire to consume his enemies. He ended up ascending to heaven with chariots of fire.

Elijah operated in such high level of unction in his days because of his undying passion for God. He reiterated in 1kgs.19:10 & 14; "I am being very jealous for the Lord God of hosts" His passion for God and the things of God is what strengthened his prayer life to a greater dimension of exploits.

James 5:17-18, "Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are, and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth her fruit."

Passion is the fuel for fire. When we come to a level in our walk with God where we are totally consumed by His cause on the earth, we will naturally engage in the spiritual activities that will ignite our spirit for exploits in the Kingdom.

As we keep growing in power and advancing in spiritual knowledge we will keep commanding fire to defend the gospel and advancing God's kingdom on the earth. 

When we start operating in this dimension our words will become irresistible by the heathen. Any time we stand to speak fire will go forth to pierced the heart of men to repentance and compelled them to submit to Christ. I pray the Lord will make you a real carrier of His fire in this generation.

ASSIGNMENT

Develop an undying passion for God by consistently seeking after the salvation of the lost and make them to be established in the faith.

PRAYER

Father, fire up your love in my heart that will enhance my spiritual advancement to the next level.
